Roofing crew stripping shingles and prepping deck on a house
Full tear-off roof replacement

Roof Replacement in Orange County, NY.

Complete roof replacement for Hudson Valley homes: every old layer comes off, soft decking is replaced, and a new architectural shingle or standing-seam metal system goes on with ice and water shield, synthetic underlayment, new flashing and ridge ventilation. Most homes are done in one to two days.

REPLACEMENT OPTIONS

Pick the roof that fits the house and the budget

Roof pitch, tree cover, how long you plan to stay and how the house is ventilated decide which system makes sense. We price more than one option so you can compare.

01
Most Common

Architectural Shingle Replacement

The standard for colonials, ranches and split-levels: dimensional shingles over a fully rebuilt underlayment and flashing package.

—High-wind nailing pattern—Matching starter strip and ridge cap—Ice and water shield at eaves and valleys
02
Long-Term Upgrade

Standing-Seam Metal Replacement

Concealed-fastener metal panels for homeowners who want to stop thinking about the roof for decades and shed snow fast.

—Concealed fasteners — nothing exposed to leak—Sheds heavy snow quickly—Works on many low and steep pitches
03
Flat & Low-Slope

EPDM Section Replacement

Porches, additions and row-house roofs too flat for shingles get a fully adhered rubber membrane with new edge metal.

—Fully adhered single-ply membrane—New edge metal and flashed drains—Tied into the shingle roof at transitions
EARLY WARNING

things to consider

01
Warning 01

Roof Older Than 20 Years

Most asphalt roofs in the Hudson Valley start failing between 18 and 25 years, especially on south-facing slopes.

02
Warning 02

Curling or Cupped Shingles

Shingles that curl at the edges have lost their flexibility and will keep lifting in every storm.

03
Warning 03

Repeated Leaks in Different Spots

When patches keep moving around the roof, the whole system is at the end of its life.

04
Warning 04

Two Layers Already

A second layer of shingles hides the deck and adds weight; the next roof has to be a full tear-off.

QUESTIONS

Things people actually ask.

More questions? Call (845) 234-9871 or request an estimate — we don't believe in pressure sales.

How do I know if I need a new roof or just a repair?
If the roof is under about 15 years old and the damage is in one area, a repair usually makes sense. Widespread curling, granule loss, several leaks or a roof over 20 years old usually means replacement. We will tell you which one we would do on our own house.
How long does a roof replacement take?
Most homes take one to two days. Larger or steeper roofs, or ones that need a lot of decking replaced, can take three to four.
Do you install over my old shingles?
No. Every replacement is a full tear-off so we can see and fix the deck before the new roof goes on.
Do you work with insurance claims?
Yes. If storm damage is the reason for the replacement, we document it with photos and can meet your adjuster on site.
